Kubasaki High School, Okinawa, Japan | March 18, 2020
Congratulations to Kubasaki High School as their video communication students have continued their winning tradition in being the most decorated academic program in DoDEA Pacific South. Kubasaki High School has won top honors in the Combined Federal Campaign Overseas PSA Contest for the last 4 years in a row. This year for the 2019 CFC-O DoDEA PSA Contest, video communication students Jessica Miller, Konor Mckay, Mona Anderson, and Bailey Chavez produced an award winning PSA. It can be viewed on the CFC-O website at https://cfcoverseas.org/2019-dodea-contest-winners or on YouTube at https://youtu.be/6WRds9peo5s
“The submissions were excellent in both contests,” said CFC-O Director Samantha Barrett. “Only half a point separated some of the PSA scores.” The CFC-O plans to incorporate the winning artwork into their upcoming marketing campaign and hopes to coordinate with AFN to air the winning PSAs during the 2020 campaign. “We love seeing the creativity and passions of the students. This is one of my favorite parts of the annual campaign,” added Whitney Woerner, the contest lead. “I can’t wait for next year’s contest”.
Thank you to the CFC-O and this wonderful opportunity to showcase the career and technical abilities of our students not only at Kubasaki High School, but across DoDEA. The airing of the student made PSAs on AFN is a great experience and achievement for our hardworking and dedicated students. Go Dragons!
