Kubasaki Dragons Air Rifle Team bring home 2nd Place!

What is Rifle Marksmanship?  It’s an Olympic Sport with a military heritage.  It’s a sport skill where a rifle is aimed, controlled and fired so as to consistently hit a distant and difficult target 30 feet away.

On 1 February 2020, the Kubasaki MCJROTC Marksmanship Team competed in a 3-position Air Rifle Competition with Kadena and Guam High School.  The competition included rifle events in the prone position, standing position and kneeling position.  Shooting demands stability and precise skills.  The Kubasaki Team put their skills to the test as they were able to showcase their high level of psychophysical abilities, calmness, and micro-coordination.  A team of 5 shooters will be moving up to compete at Far East during 19-20 February at Osan S. Korea.
